Little Chute Wrestling Club Philosophy
The philosophy of the Little Chute Wrestling Club has been developed with this thought in mind - to introduce the youth of Little Chute to the sport of wrestling with the intent of providing an enjoyable experience and keep them coming out for wrestling in future years. The coaches of the entire wrestling program, K-12, have met and developed a plan for our lengths of seasons, number of events, and a progression of moves to be learned at each level. As a wrestler gets older, the length of season, the number of events wrestled, and the amount of wrestling moves they are exposed to increases.
Currently, the level of each program, the length of their season, and number of events is as follows:
| GRADE LEVEL | SEASON LENGTH | MEETS & TOURNAMENTS |
|---|---|---|
| K & 1st Grade | 1 Month | 1 Dual Meet 1 or 2 Tournaments |
| 2nd & 3rd Grade | 1 1/2 Months | 1 or 2 Dual Meets 2 Tournaments |
| 4th & 5th Grade | 2 Months | 2 Dual Meets 2 or 3 Tournaments |
| Middle School | 2 1/2 Months | Schedule Determined by MS |
| High School | 3 1/2 Months | Schedule Determined by HS |
If a parent wishes for their child to practice with an older age level, they may do so with agreement of the parent and coach and it is determined that they are ready for that next level.
There are many tournaments available to attend that we do not travel to as a club. Parents are always welcome to bring their children to these tournaments. Often times, information for these tournaments is available on the bulletin board in the wrestling room.
